just Checking 20% Vit C Solution
« on: April 02, 2013, 06:24:23 PM »
Hello I searched the boards and believe I have found my answer so just checking this is still current thinking .

My skin really seems to like your Vit C solution and goes pink and glowing especially one night when I mixed up a strong solution . But I should go no stronger than 20 % right even if my skin can handle it as this might upset its PH balance ?!

2 parts Vit C powder and 8 parts water is the maximum  I'm allowed in Luke warm water from boiled kettle to minimise oxygen content right ?!

Amazing work , another bulk order hopefully on its way to me

Thank you

The tissue levels were the highest when the concentration of vit. C was 20%. For unknown reasons, a higher than 20% concentrations of vit. C  led to much lower tissue concentrations. You can see the table here:

http://forums.owndoc.com/dermarolling-microneedling/should-vitamin-c-diy-serum-be-at-20-concentration/

However, it doesn’t mean it will automatically happen exactly like this in every single individual. If you skin can handle the concentration and you feel your skin "likes" it, you can increase it.
My comments should not be considered medical advice.
